Brief: As an Emergency Care Technician, you will perform a variety of duties in the care and treatment of our patients every day. You will develop and maintain positive relationships with our patients, guests, other team members, and medical staff by striving for excellence in service and quality. Detailed:
You will be responsible for:
• Performing routine EKGs, Holter Monitor applications, B/P monitor applications, Code Blue functions, and other monitoring situations of the Emergency Room
• Insertion of Foley catheters using the sterilization technique, collecting specimens using venipuncture techniques
• Assist in teaching patients self-care, and encouraging patients to achieve independence within their limitations
What you will need:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Assistant, or Emergency Medical Technician preferred
- CNA or EMT license preferred
