We are hiring a General Manager for our Schaumburg, IL branch.
The role of the General Manager (GM) is to oversee the daily operations of the branch, ensuring seamless coordination across all interdepartmental functions, while driving the overall productivity and performance of office staff. The GM plays a pivotal role in the growth and profitability of the branch, managing revenue and margin targets, and fostering a high-performance environment. Additionally, the GM is a key ambassador of Avid's mission, promoting the delivery of affordable, high quality, and innovative care that enhances health outcomes for clients, communities, and payers alike, in alignment with the company's core values.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the daily operations of the branch across all interdepartmental functions, ensuring smooth business continuity, operational efficiency, and a positive, productive office culture that fosters employee engagement and satisfaction.
- Manage the productivity, recruitment, hiring, training, evaluation, and termination of all administrative and field employees in accordance with company policies and operational needs, ensuring the development of a high-performing team.
- Coordinate and manage employee schedules, including work and on-call rotations, to ensure optimal staffing and coverage while maintaining operational efficiency.
- Plan, implement, and track key performance metrics to ensure the timely and efficient completion of daily tasks, striving for continuous improvement in operational processes.
- Regularly assess operational workflows and performance, identifying areas for enhancement and recommending actionable solutions to drive operational effectiveness.
- Conduct annual employee reviews, offering constructive feedback and guidance to support professional growth, ensuring alignment with individual and organizational goals.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop the branch’s annual budget, closely monitoring performance to ensure compliance with budget targets and proper expense approvals.
- Develop and execute branch-specific operational, recruitment, and marketing strategies to achieve annual revenue, margin, and growth objectives, driving business expansion in all service delivery markets.
- Partner with leadership to develop and execute strategic growth plans, identifying new revenue opportunities and expanding service offerings across new markets and programs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, families, and contracts/payors, ensuring an effective intake process, high levels of client satisfaction, and continuity of care throughout the engagement.
- Act as the key liaison between branch staff and corporate departments, ensuring clear communication, answering inquiries, and providing operational updates and support.
- Ensure accurate payroll processing, adhering to contracted referral hours, and securing prior approval for any hours exceeding authorized limits to maintain billing efficiency and compliance.
- Work closely with Compliance and Clinical Teams to ensure adherence to accrediting and licensing standards, conducting internal audits to ensure the branch meets all survey requirements and regulatory standards.
- Actively participate in corporate quarterly Quality Improvement (QI) meetings, providing branch-specific operational, compliance, and quality data, and collaborating with regional and branch leadership to address any concerns.
- Collaborate with Compliance and Clinical teams to implement, communicate, and monitor branch-specific compliance and quality assurance initiatives to maintain the highest standards of care and service delivery.
- Build and maintain strong, responsive relationships with contract payers, serving as a key partner in payer contracting and ensuring alignment with Value-Based Purchase (VBP) initiatives.
- Ensure all company policies and procedures are effectively implemented and adhered to at the branch level, maintaining operational consistency and compliance.
- Stay informed and compliant with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as contract requirements, HIPAA, and Joint Commission standards, ensuring the branch operates within legal and ethical boundaries.
- Perform any additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned to support the branch’s operations and growth objectives.

Requirements:Qualifications:
- Education: College degree preferred and 3-5 years of management experience in home care.
- Travel: Travel will be required for business purposes. Employee must have a valid driver’s license issued by the state in which they work and a satisfactory driving record.
- Skills:
- Excellent leadership skills and a big-picture method for approaching tasks.
- A specific understanding of geographical/cultural requirements of branch office is preferred.
- Ability to use computerized systems and software such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Satisfactory verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
Additional Requirements: Knowledge of all applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulatory requirements, with HIPAA and Joint Commission experience preferred. Bilingual – English/Spanish a plus.
