- Conduct outbound calls, virtual meetings, and presentations to identify and qualify new sales opportunities with state and local agencies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with agency stakeholders, procurement officers, and local government partners.
- Understand client operational needs and procurement processes to deliver tailored solutions and value propositions.
- Support proposal preparation, RFI/RFP responses, and other sales documentation for government clients.
- Collaborate with internal teamsincluding technical, legal, operations, and marketingto ensure compliant and effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate sales pipeline forecasting, CRM documentation, and performance reporting.
- Stay informed on government procurement regulations, trends, and competitive intelligence.
- 35+ years of experience in inside sales, business development, or account management, ideally with state/local government or law enforcement clients.
- Proven success in generating leads, building relationships, and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Knowledge of government procurement cycles, contract vehicles, and budget timelines preferred.
- Experience selling technology, software, or mission-critical solutions is a plus.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in a virtual environment.
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- Base salary range: $55,000$75,000, with commission opportunities; total target compensation (OTE) $65,000$85,000 annually.
