About This Position
Verita Telecommunications is seeking an experienced & dedicated Wireless Civil Foreman to oversee day-to-day civil construction activities on wireless telecommunications sites, including tower foundations, equipment pads, grounding, trenching, utilities, concrete work, and site restoration. This role is responsible for leading a crew, ensuring all work meets safety, quality, and schedule standards, and coordinating with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients. The Civil Foreman plays a key role in delivering successful cell site builds, modifications, and upgrades in support of wireless network deployment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Leader on job site for all aspects of safety including job safety documentation and policy adherence
• Responsible for ensuring QUALITY work is performed in compliance with client, company, and government safety requirements.
• Responsible for personal tool and trailer inventory of company provided tools and equipment
• Responsible for team day to day assignments including Hands, Technicians I & II and others on job site
• Responsible for attendance and timesheets for employees on job site
• Support Construction Manager in role defined by the project scope of work with duties such as management, production, QA/QC, administrative, training or mentorship
• Support Construction Manager in evaluation of staffing needs and performance evaluation
• Responsible for proper site access notifications while working on site
• Tracks production and provides daily site reports
• Assists with the transfer of knowledge of technical skills
• Assists with management of sub-contractors performance
• Understand and drive performance metrics appropriate for projects
• Other related duties as assigned by Management
• Maintain positive attitude with team members while holding all accountable for job performance
• Enforce and adhere to standards regarding proper personal hygiene, a clean presence in company trucks, and a neat presence of tools and equipment in trailers
CERTIFICATIONS (OBTAINABLE/RENEWABLE UPON ACCEPTANCE but required):
• RF Awareness
• CPR/First Aid/Blood Bourne
• Confined Space
• OSHA 10&30
• Certifications required to work on specific job sites (as needed)
• Valid Driver’s License, Commercial Driver’s License (recommended)
QUALIFICATIONS:
• (6) years’ experience as a Wireless Technician
• Basic Computer/Email Skills - Excel, Word and Outlook Microsoft knowledge
• The ability to follow construction and installation procedures and policies set by government standards, industry standards, client standards, and engineering standards
• Ability to read construction prints, RF design sheets, permit conditions, and construction specifications for purposes of a proper build
• Required to have a strong and reliable work ethic, be willing and able to follow directives, and able to work in inclement weather conditions
• Ability to effectively communicate with clients, landowners, tower owners via email, phone or in person
• Troubleshooting experience and Knowledge to diagnose and fix the common causes of equipment failure and site alarms (VSWR, diversity, TMA alarms, etc.)
• Physically capable to meet the requirements of construction jobs
• Industry experience and understanding of multiple carrier standards and procedures (T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, Dish Network, etc.)
• Skilled with equipment installations, electrical installations, grading, restoration, and other aspects of telecommunications jobs
• Capable of providing high productivity and quality workmanship while remaining detail-oriented
• Adept at fully understanding and following advanced oral and written instructions
• Efficiently research, troubleshoot and provide solutions to job-related items and provide recommendations/suggestions for quality improvement and work efficiencies
• Ensure all corporate policies and procedures are followed and contribute to company strategies and plans
• Willing to expand your knowledge, be challenged and grow in a dynamic and upward trending environment
• Demonstrates the ability to think pro-actively with excellent problem-solving skills
• Able to successfully pass a background check and drug screen
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Able to travel and work overtime, nights and weekends if required by job
OTHER:
• Verita will provide a work truck for this role and employee agrees to adhere to all company policies on usage of assigned vehicle
