We are currently looking for a Manager, Collection Strategy & Audit Recovery in the United States.This role is responsible for leading and optimizing the end-to-end revenue cycle with a focus on collections and minimizing bad debt for Workers' Compensation and Commercial Auto lines of business. You will design and execute strategic collection initiatives, oversee audit and recovery processes, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Acting as a key partner to cross-functional teams, you will leverage data, technology, and vendor relationships to improve cash flow, reduce delinquencies, and drive operational efficiency. You will also mentor and develop a high-performing collections team while managing escalation frameworks and litigation processes. This is a high-impact, fully remote role that blends strategic oversight with hands-on operational management in a fast-growing, customer-focused environment. Your work will directly influence financial outcomes and enhance customer experience.Accountabilities:
  • Oversee the full revenue cycle process, including billing, midterm premium adjustments, audit execution, accounts receivable aging, collections, and refund administration
  • Develop, implement, and manage a collections strategy that balances customer retention with financial discipline, including proactive outreach, negotiation, and tiered recovery frameworks
  • Design account escalation procedures for delinquent balances, establish settlement authority thresholds, and oversee collections litigation in collaboration with legal and compliance teams
  • Manage relationships with third-party collection vendors, ensuring compliance, service level adherence, and achievement of recovery targets
  • Monitor, analyze, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as recovery rates, aged receivables, and ROI from external vendors to inform process improvements
  • Identify systemic issues causing premium leakage or delayed recoveries and lead process improvement initiatives across billing, collections, and audit operations
  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to enhance billing and collections system functionality, enabling scalable automation and data transparency
  • Mentor and develop revenue cycle personnel, fostering expertise in collections strategy, vendor management, and litigation handling
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or revenue cycle management, ideally within commercial insurance (P&C, Workers' Compensation, or Commercial Auto)
  • Proven track record of reducing bad debt and improving recovery rates
  • 7+ years of leadership experience managing collections, audit, or litigation teams, including individual contributors and vendor relationships
  • Extensive experience overseeing third-party vendors, external counsel, and litigation/settlement processes
  • Deep understanding of premium billing cycles, Workers' Compensation payroll audits, experience modification calculations, and multi-state premium allocation
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory and compliance requirements, including NAIC standards and state insurance guidelines
  • Advanced skills in data analysis, reporting, and proficiency with insurance billing systems, ERP, and CRM platforms (Salesforce, Zuora, Guidewire, Duck Creek, etc.)
  • Strong negotiation, communication, analytical, and strategic execution skills
  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive organizational change
  • Preferred experience in high-growth or startup environments, with familiarity in scalable process development
