Position Title: Internal Mail Courier

Department: Various

Reporting to: Executive Assistant

Location: Athens, AL

Position Summary:

The Internal Mail Courier is a part-time position responsible for the timely, accurate, and secure transport of documents, packages, supplies, and other materials between departments, offices, and designated company locations. This role supports operational efficiency by ensuring essential items are delivered promptly and handled in accordance with company procedures.

Work Schedule & Location:

• Start Time: 4:00 AM
• End Time: Varies based on number of pickups/deliveries needed
• Schedule may vary based on jobsite activity.
• Multiple job sites throughout Northeast and Northwest Alabama

Key Responsibilities:

• Travel to assigned job sites using a company-provided vehicle to collect truck tickets, packages, supplies, and other materials.
• Deliver collected items to the designated office(s).
• Report missing, incomplete, or incorrect deliveries to supervisors.
• Maintain professional communication with job site personnel and drivers.
• Follow all company safety, security, and site-access requirements.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as required to support organizational goals.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work tasks
• Represent and promote Grayson Carter and Son in a professional and honest manner

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to work early morning hours starting at 4:00 AM
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to operate a company-provided vehicle safely and responsibly
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an Arsenal Badge as required for site access
• Previous construction, trucking, or delivery experience preferred but not required.
• Committed to attending work each day
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen

Physical & Work Conditions

• Frequent driving and entering active construction job sites.
• Ability to walk job sites and stand for short periods.
• Exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
• Ability to handle paperwork securely.
