Sewing Machine Operator at Wells Hosiery Mill Inc – Asheboro, North Carolina

Primary Role:

As an Industrial Sewing Machine Operator, you will operate Walking Foot / Serger sewing machines and deliver seamstress quality, preferably with experience using other materials.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operation of walking foot sewing machine at an intermediate level.
• Trimming/cutting of parts during assembly
• Maintaining quality records as required by the company’s quality policies and procedures.
• Prepares machine by changing needles and thread, oiling and changing bobbin, and securing attachments.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to understand sewing patterns and fabrics.
• Must have more than 2 years of experience with walking foot industrial sewing machines.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and able to change projects back and forth as job demands.
• Ability to perform repetitive sewing of parts that require hand dexterity and concentration on an hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 40lbs. comfortably

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong sewing skills and excellent hand-eye coordination
• Proficient with commercial sewing machines
• Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Good time management skills to meet deadlines

Experience:

• Sewing: 2 years (Preferred)

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent
