About This Position
SUMMARY
Delivers and picks up parts and equipment for the dealership.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Picks up and delivers parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors.
Checks with the parts manager, wholesale representative, inventory control administrator, parts counterpeople, or shipping and receiving clerk before leaving to coordinate any last minute pick-ups or deliveries.
All cores must be picked up.
Verifies that invoice matches purchase order for each pick-up.
Checks payments received with the invoices for each delivery.
Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups. Requests recipient's signature on each delivery entry.
All deliveries are expected to be made in a timely manner.
If all delieries cannot be made you must notify management immediately.
Unloads truck each night. Turns in all paperwork and undelivered parts.
Handles basic maintenance of the truck including filling tank with gas, checking oil, keeping it clean, and making sure required inspections are performed.
Fluid levels must be checked every morning.
Advises parts manager if delivery trucks need major repairs and maintenance.
Helps maintain the professional appearance of the parts department.
Maintains professional appearance.
Accidents, traffic violations, registration, inspection and insurance dates must be reported to management immediately.

MVR Requirements
Any driver with a MVR showing one of the following violations in the last 5 years is unacceptable and must be placed in a non-driving capacity. These criteria also apply to using an employee's own vehicle for business purposes:
License suspended or revoked
Driving while intoxicated or impaired under the influence of alcohol or drugs
Reckless driving or similar violation ( e.g. racing and road rage)
Speeding in excess of 25 mph over the speed limit
Criminal type convictions ( e.g. negligent homicide, manslaughter, hit and run, assault with a motor vehicle, road rage)
Failure to report an accident or making a false report to authorities
3 or more at fault accidents and/or moving violations in the past 3 years
2 or more at fault accidents and/or moving violations in the past 12 months
Must be licensed for 2 years and be 21 years of age
