About This Position

Description:

Schedule:

Saturday - Double Shift - 7am-11pm

Sunday - Double Shift - 7am-11pm

Monday - 3pm-11pm

Summary:

Provide nursing or supportive services within the scope of licensure or certification in a residential treatment setting serving women and their children. Monitor, observe, and ensure the safety and well-being of consumers. Support therapeutic goals through education, motivational guidance, and adherence to program structure. Work collaboratively with clinical and residential staff to provide coordinated care.

-Adhere to Palmer’s mission, values, and strategic goals.
-Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with Palmer policies and state/federal regulations.
-Provide compassionate, client-centered care within the scope of licensure or certification.
-Administer or dispense medications as ordered by physician or APRN (within scope).
-Monitor for medication side effects, allergic reactions, and report any adverse effects appropriately.
-Maintain accurate and timely records, medication logs, and documentation.
-Communicate with supervisor, Program Director, physicians, and treatment team members to ensure appropriate care coordination.
-Observe and monitor clients’ behavior and overall well-being.

-Facilitate program activities and ensure clients adhere to daily schedules.
-Participate in clinical and staff meetings, providing updates as needed.
-Provide educational support and motivational guidance to clients.
-Role model professional behavior, boundaries, respectful communication, and personal appearance.
-Support facility safety, cleanliness, and organization.
-Assist with intakes and discharges in accordance with program guidelines.
-Conduct facility and client checks (room checks, package checks, etc.) as needed.
-Enforce program rules fairly and consistently.
-Provide transportation for clients when required, following agency policies (if applicable and credentialed as an agency driver).
-Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed.
-Participate in ongoing staff development and continuing education.
-Assist in drug screening (urine collection, breathalyzer) as permitted within scope.
-Support meal service and kitchen operations when necessary and in compliance with food safety guidelines.
-Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements: Requirements:

LPN Candidates:

-Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Oklahoma
-High school diploma or GED
-Current Oklahoma Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
-Current Oklahoma Department of Health Food Handler’s Permit
-Current Adult and Pediatric CPR/First Aid Certification
-Ability to function as part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team
-Computer skills including spreadsheets, word processing, database systems, and email
-Ability to work flexible hours
-Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
-Previous experience in a residential or behavioral health setting preferred
-Previous training in substance use treatment theory and practices preferred

CMA Candidates:

-Current Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification in Oklahoma
-High school diploma or GED

-Current Oklahoma Driver’s License and acceptable driving record

-Current Oklahoma Department of Health Food Handler’s Permit
-Current Adult and Pediatric CPR/First Aid Certification
-Ability to function as part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team
-Computer skills including spreadsheets, word processing, database systems, and email
-Ability to work flexible hours
-Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
-Previous experience in a residential treatment setting preferred

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Frequent twisting, lifting, standing, sitting, walking, stretching, kneeling, bending, and squatting
