3rd Shift General Laborer at Dane Manufacturing Company – Waunakee, Wisconsin
About This Position
Position Summary:
Our General Labor position is focused primarily around our paint line. Loading, unloading and some assembly and packaging. This position works in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and reports productivity to their direct supervisor.
Position Duties:
1. Assemble a variety of different fabricated metal products including but not limited to tanks and large boxes
2. Rethread Fittings
3. Riveting
4. Work area is expected to be kept tidy throughout the shift and left clean and orderly at the end of the shift.
5. Tools must be organized and used properly to ensure long usability.
6. Work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and report productivity to supervisor
7. Follow all company rules and policies
8. Follow all safety rules and quality standards
Requirements:Qualifications:
1. Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D.
2. Experience: 6 months – 1 year manufacturing experience preferred
3. Computer/Software and Office Equipment Skills: Experience using a computer for punching in and out of jobs preferred but not required
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
a. Must place a strong emphasis on quality and attention to detail.
b. Able to read and understand work orders.
c. Able to identify problems during the manufacturing process and make necessary adjustments to correct.
d. Must be able to work with a minimum of supervision following detailed manufacturing instructions.
e. Ability to work with hand tools
f. Able to work in a team environment.
g. Able to effectively provide and accept feedback from colleges based on work reviews.
h. Flexibility to work overtime to ensure smooth and continuous manufacturing process.
Essential Physical/ Mental Requirements:
1. Work requires occasional bending, lifting, and reaching.
2. Work is performed in an environment with noise.
3. Need to occasionally move and carry loads of up to 50 lbs.
4. Must have good time management skills.
5. Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift
6. Must have the ability to maintain concentration and focus on tasks requiring timeliness and accuracy while working in an environment with interruptions and occasional noise.
