Full-Time | Monday–Thursday 6:30am–5:00pm (Friday 6:30 am to 3 pm & Saturday 6:30 am to 12 pm as needed)
Pay
$18.00 – $21.50 per hour (based on experience)

Mickey Truck Bodies is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to inspect truck and trailer bodies throughout the manufacturing process. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our products meet company standards, customer specifications, and safety regulations before shipment.

What You’ll Do
- Perform in-process and final inspections of truck and trailer bodies
- Verify dimensions, weld quality, paint finish, component installation, and structural integrity
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders
- Use precision measuring tools (tape measures, calipers, micrometers, machinist kits, gauges)
- Inspect welding operations and ensure weld quality meets standards
- Identify defects, non-conformances, and deviations from specifications
- Document inspection findings and maintain accurate quality records
- Communicate quality concerns to supervisors and assist with corrective actions
- Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- Audit materials, parts, and finished products
- Promote compliance with safety standards and PPE requirements
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2+ years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience in truck, trailer, automotive, or heavy equipment manufacturing strongly preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of welding inspection
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and multi-tasking skills
Work Environment
- Manufacturing/shop environment
- Exposure to noise, metal dust, insulation materials, fumes, and moving machinery
- Required use of PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators, gloves, and protective clothing
- Regular standing, walking, bending, and lifting
Physical Requirements
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, reach, and use hands and arms.
- Must be able to communicate clearly
- Ability to bend, reach, and work around machinery
- Comfortable working in a noisy manufacturing environment
