About the Role:
The E & I Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of electrical and instrumentation projects within the organization. This role ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the required quality and safety standards. The Project Manager will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage resources, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to align project objectives with business goals. They will also identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues promptly, and drive continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle. Ultimately, this position plays a critical role in delivering complex technical projects that support operational excellence and client satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in electrical and instrumentation projects.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, standards, and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
- Experience working in industrial sectors such as oil & gas, power generation, or manufacturing.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance and quality assurance processes specific to electrical and instrumentation projects.
- Advanced knowledge of instrumentation calibration, control systems, and automation technologies.
- Strong leadership and negotiation skills with experience managing subcontractors and vendors.
Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed project plans including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation for electrical and instrumentation projects.
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams including engineers, contractors, and vendors to ensure project milestones are met.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and implement corrective actions to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
- Manage communication with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to provide regular updates and ensure alignment on project goals.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and present project reports, documentation, and post-project evaluations to senior management.
- Facilitate procurement and contract management activities related to electrical and instrumentation equipment and services.
