About This Position

Hourly Starting Compensation: $24.25 USD; Hourly, Non-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Laundry Attendant who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and efficiency behind the scenes. This role is essential to the overall guest experience, ensuring that all hotel linens and uniforms are processed, handled, and delivered in a timely and professional manner. The Laundry Attendant must be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. This position supports the Housekeeping department, and the primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Load and unload industrial washers and dryers, including transferring wet linens between machines (please note: this is a physically demanding task).
  • Sort laundry according to hotel standards and established procedures.
  • Fold all linens and uniforms efficiently and accurately, meeting or exceeding quality standards.
  • Operate ironing equipment for sheets prior to folding.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry room, including cleaning machines and removing trash.
  • Follow all hotel sanitation, safety, and maintenance standards in all areas of responsibility.
  • Understand and practice the safe and proper use of all laundry equipment and cleaning supplies.
  • Document productivity and complete assigned forms accurately.
  • Read, understand, and follow hotel policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the department’s operational needs.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous experience in housekeeping, laundry, or a similar fast-paced work environment preferred
  • Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for the entire shift on tile or cement surfaces, with frequent twisting, reaching, and extending
  • Comfortable working with cleaning supplies and laundry chemicals
