About This Position
Are you someone who enjoys building strong relationships, solving problems, and helping businesses succeed? As a Junior Account Manager, you’ll be the go-to person for your customers — their trusted partner, strategic advisor, and day-to-day point of contact.
This is a relationship-driven, growth-focused role where you’ll spend 70–80% of your time directly working with customers and the remaining 20–30% leading internal projects like launching new shipping lanes, developing pricing strategies, and conducting quarterly business reviews.
If you enjoy being customer-facing, thinking strategically, and driving revenue growth — this is the role for you.
Essential Job Duties

- Manage a book of business with defined revenue goals; maintaining and growing account revenue while meeting (or exceeding!) quotas for each account
- Using market data, industry trends, and historical insights, develop and present freight rate quotes — whether for individual shipments or long-term contracts
- In addition to growing existing accounts, you’ll actively seek new customers through cold calls, emails, networking, and relationship building
- When service issues arise, you’ll take ownership — working with internal teams to resolve concerns quickly and maintain client satisfaction
- You’ll collaborate closely with the President of New Age Logistics and the Director of Operations, as well as other internal departments to launch new shipping projects, open new freight lanes, develop pricing solutions, conduct quarterly business reviews, and ensure customer requests are executed smoothly
- Stay in regular contact with your accounts to assess needs, clarify expectations, and uncover opportunities for growth
