About This Position
Downhole Chemical Solutions (DCS) is an employee-owned oil and gas chemical company delivering performance-driven solutions in hydraulic fracturing. We are seeking a Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in providing technical support and asset maintenance for DCS field operations. The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated, and eager to grow.
Responsibilities & Expectations
- Complete work orders according to priority
- Have good communication with managers and remote ops center regarding assignments and conflicts
- Maintain and repair machinery (such as - generators, pumps, A/Cs, compressors, trailer structure, tractor engines, brakes, suspension, etc.)
- Autonomy in planning and scheduling your workday based on the operational needs of the company

- 2 weeks on 1 week off

General Qualifications
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure in oilfield environments
- Willingness to travel as needed to support DCS’s operations in East, West, and South Texas (as needed)
- Must be self-motivated, and able to work autonomously alongside field personnel and engineers, as well as within a team-based setting
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
Preferred Skills and Experience
- 1-2 years in a mechanical related field (Diesel engine repair, Tractor-trailer mechanic, Frac mechanic, etc.) OR a 2-year degree in a related field from a technical college
- Diesel mechanic certification
- A/C technician certification (608 or 609)
- Strong communication skills
- Computer literacy
- Working understanding of frac operations
