About This Position
Field Engineer
Rounding in Oklahoma City metro area
PURPOSE:Rounding in Oklahoma City metro area
This role is ideal for an experienced IT professional with a strong background in field support and a passion for delivering exceptional service to clients across diverse industries. You will play a pivotal role in providing on-site and remote support, troubleshooting, and implementing IT solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide on-site and remote technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, server, and network-related problems.
- Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, servers, firewalls, and switches.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for assigned clients.
- Communicate effectively to understand client needs and provide timely solutions.
- Document support activities, including issue resolution and change management, in the ticketing system.
- Assist in IT projects such as network upgrades, system migrations, and new hardware deployments.
- Perform system health checks and audits for client environments.
- Implement backup, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity solutions as required.
- Monitor and maintain systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance and updates for client systems.
- Identify and recommend enhancements or upgrades to improve IT infrastructure.
- Other Responsibilities as assigned by management
MINIMUM SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Technical Skills
- Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs).
- Familiarity with firewall, router, and switch configuration and troubleshooting.
- Experience working with RMM tools and PSA platforms commonly used by MSPs.+
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients and internal teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- 2+ years of experience in an MSP or similar IT support role.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft (MCSA/MCSE), or Cisco (CCNA) are highly desirable.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to client sites.
- Flexibility to work occasional after-hours or weekend shifts as needed.

The salary for this position is commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications. The range is intended to reflect our commitment to attracting top talent, and the final offer will be based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's previous experience, expertise in the field, relevant certifications, and the specific requirements of the role. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to sit, stand, and bend for the duration of shift. The position is mainly sitting, with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs, such as laptop, server equipment, and, driving to the work site to meet with client(s).
