We are seeking an experienced and visionary Data Science Lead to drive AI adoption and accelerate engineering productivity through advanced tooling and automation. This role combines hands-on AI engineering with strategic engagement across software teams to optimize development workflows. You will collaborate with AI specialists to design intelligent agents, prompts, and workflows, while embedding within Scrum teams to ensure AI tools are effectively applied. The position offers an environment of innovation, cross-functional collaboration, and a chance to shape AI practices across multiple engineering squads. You will influence cultural and technological change, mentoring engineers and enhancing productivity at scale.

Accountabilities:

Lead the design, development, and optimization of AI-driven tooling, including prompt engineering and agent-based workflows.
Collaborate with AI specialists to prototype and iterate solutions that accelerate software development lifecycles.
Embed within Scrum teams to guide the effective use of AI in code generation, review, and automation.
Coach engineers in AI-assisted development and promote best practices in AI adoption.
Identify gaps and improve AI workflows to ensure quality and consistency across distributed teams.
Influence global teams to embrace AI as a productivity enabler and drive cultural transformation in engineering practices.

Requirements:

Extensive hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot, including plan mode and agent mode.
Proven expertise in prompt engineering for code and documentation generation.
Experience building AI-driven workflows, automation agents, and LLM-based solutions.
Strong software engineering background (Python, SQL, or equivalent) and familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Ability to review and challenge production-grade code and influence engineering teams effectively.
Knowledge of Azure ecosystem, Microsoft Fabric, Cosmos DB, and data engineering pipelines.
5–15+ years of engineering experience with a track record of seniority in enterprise-scale environments.
Excellent communication skills and the confidence to drive change in distributed global teams.
