This role leads the strategic direction for channel access, pricing, and contracting for advanced platform products, driving both commercial performance and patient access. The Director will develop pricing strategies, manage account-specific contracting programs, and optimize outcomes-based approaches across key accounts. Operating at the intersection of sales, market access, and commercial strategy, this leader will collaborate cross-functionally to design innovative business solutions that meet customer needs while supporting corporate objectives. The position requires a balance of analytical rigor, commercial acumen, and strong stakeholder management skills. This is a remote role with 10–20% travel, offering the opportunity to influence multimillion-dollar product portfolios in a dynamic environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop and implement portfolio-level channel and pricing strategies aligned with business unit goals and customer needs.
  • Lead pricing, contracting, and account-specific strategies for both inline and new advanced platform products.
  • Evaluate financial and strategic implications of contracting efforts, supporting customer negotiations and end-to-end execution.
  • Conduct market, competitor, and payer analyses to inform strategy and optimize patient access and profitability.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, medical, and market access teams to ensure cross-functional alignment and support.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures while maintaining high ethical standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry, market access, payer relations, pharmacy, or consulting.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. healthcare economics, pharmaceutical demand drivers, and reimbursement systems.
  • Extensive experience with healthcare contracting and payer negotiations, including PBM, Medicare, and regional/national health plans.
  • Proven ability to navigate complex customer landscapes and build relationships with key stakeholders, including executives.
  • In-depth understanding of patient access, product launch, and commercialization processes.
  • Preferred: experience in cell and gene therapy, rare disease, or high-cost specialty products, and prior people leadership experience.
