About the Internship

This internship is designed to help students put classroom learning into practical use while gaining hands-on experience in a professional finance environment. The role is fully on-site at our downtown Chattanooga location.

Key Responsibilities

The Finance Intern will support day-to-day transactional and administrative functions, including:

· Keying invoices and performing 3-way match in Accounts Payable

· Filing and organizing financial documents

· Verifying payments to invoices

· Entering journal entries

· Assisting with payroll preparation work

· Supporting various finance projects and general office tasks

Desired Skills & Qualifications

· Strong Excel skills and general computer proficiency

· Solid office skills (organizing, filing, spreadsheets, etc.)

· Currently pursuing Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field

· Attention to detail and willingness to learn

· Ability to work 20–30 hours per week

Blood Assurance, a nonprofit, full-service regional blood center serving healthcare facilities across Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Kentucky, and North Carolina, is seeking a motivated Finance Intern to support our Finance Department. Founded in 1972, Blood Assurance relies on more than 540 volunteer donors each day and operates 16 fixed locations and 20 bloodmobiles. Our mission is to provide a safe and adequate supply of blood and blood components, in a cost-effective manner, to every area patient in need.
