About this Role:
The Membership Development Officer is responsible for driving sustainable membership growth by strategically developing, acquiring, and managing Select Employer Group (SEG) partnerships. This role expands the credit union’s reach by establishing and scaling employer-based channels that build consistent pipelines for new-member acquisition and engagement.
The position leads the development and execution of SEG strategies, including partner identification, onboarding frameworks, and ongoing relationship management, ensuring each partnership delivers measurable growth outcomes. Working cross-functionally, the role aligns SEG opportunities with internal capabilities to support seamless onboarding and long-term relationship value.
Serving as a trusted ambassador of the Securityplus brand, the Membership Development Officer helps position the credit union as a relationship-driven financial partner committed to financial wellness and community impact. In this capacity, the role actively collaborates with internal teams and external partners to support engagement efforts and advance strategic partnerships that contribute to both membership growth and broader organizational impact.
This role operates in a developing program and will help build, refine, and scale processes as the SEG program grows.
Requirements:In this full-time Exempt role, you’ll be responsible for:
Drive Membership Growth Through Strategic Employer Partnerships
Lead the development of new Select Employer Group (SEG) relationships aligned with organizational growth goals. Through proactive outreach, networking, and tailored presentations, you will build and manage a strong pipeline of prospective partners and guide each opportunity from initial engagement through activation.
Own the Full Lifecycle of SEG Partnerships
Manage the end-to-end partnership lifecycle from prospecting and onboarding to ongoing engagement and retention. You will ensure each SEG relationship is structured for long-term success and delivers measurable growth outcomes.
Cultivate and Sustain High-Value Relationships
Develop and maintain strong relationships with employer partners, HR leaders, and key stakeholders. You will design and execute structured engagement strategies that keep partnerships active, visible, and productive over time.
Deliver Exceptional Onboarding and Member Experiences
Lead onboarding sessions, enrollment events, and workplace engagement efforts that introduce new and prospective members to Securityplus. You will create accessible, high-quality experiences that demonstrate value from the first interaction.
Expand Membership and Deepen Engagement
Connect individuals to products and financial solutions that support their needs by bringing Securityplus services directly into workplaces and community settings. You will help transform initial engagement into long-term member relationships.
Collaborate Across Teams to Execute Effectively
Partner with Marketing, Retail, Lending, and Branch teams to align SEG initiatives with campaigns, products, and operational execution. You will ensure internal coordination supports a seamless partner and member experience.
Represent Securityplus and Grow Our Community Presence
Serve as a visible ambassador in the community, participating in networking events, business forums, and local partnerships. You will represent Securityplus in new and existing markets to strengthen brand visibility and generate new opportunities.
Contribute to Program Development and Growth Strategy
Support the ongoing development and refinement of SEG strategies, outreach approaches, and engagement models. You will help build scalable processes and contribute to the long-term growth of the program.
Deliver Measurable Results
Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators, including SEG acquisition, partner engagement, and membership growth. You will own your pipeline and performance, driving results through disciplined execution and relationship management.

You will maintain regular outreach and prospecting efforts, lead onboarding and financial education activities, and actively participate in community and networking opportunities to expand visibility and impact.
What You’ll Bring to the Table:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Three to five (3–5) years of experience in business development, community outreach, membership development, or relationship management
- Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with external partners, community stakeholders, and organizational leaders
- Ability to manage multiple partnerships and priorities simultaneously with strong organization and follow-through
- Effective presentation and communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to operate independently in a dynamic, evolving environment
- Results-oriented with a focus on driving measurable growth and engagement
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communication, or related field
- Experience with community partnerships, financial education programs, or employer engagement is strongly preferred
- Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC) designation.

This position involves typical office work such as the use of the PC, reviewing manuals and related office papers, the use of the telephone, fax, and photocopy machines.
