Job Summary:
The Instrumentation and Controls Superintendent will oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of instrumentation and control systems on a hyperscale data center project in Reno, NV. The ideal candidate will ensure that all systems are designed, installed, and maintained in compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the instrumentation and controls team throughout all phases of the project.
- Develop and implement project plans and schedules related to instrumentation and control systems.
- Review and approve instrumentation designs, specifications, and drawings to ensure quality and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and quality control, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any technical issues.
- Oversee the installation, calibration, and maintenance of instrumentation and control devices.
- Ensure all activities adhere to safety regulations and best practices.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members and other project stakeholders.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports on performance metrics and compliance status.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Bachelor degree in Engineering (Electrical, Controls, or similar) or a related field experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in instrumentation and controls, with a focus on heavy industrial, semiconductor, data center projects.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Proven experience in project management and team leadership.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency with instrumentation and control software and tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in instrumentation and controls (e.g., ISA, NI).
- Experience with automation systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes.
