About This Position

Firehawk Aerospace is a leading propulsion-focused aerospace and defense company located in Addison, TX. This position will be full-time located at our Crawford, MS facilities with occasional travel potentially required (approximately 5%).

Position Details:
The advanced manufacturing technician for the Crawford site will be responsible for assisting in developing and defining processes for a new production line. Building product for various stages of qualifications to include test configurations, First Articles and production builds. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and a commitment to maintaining the highest safety and regulatory standards in an explosive materials environment.

Responsibilities
Places parts in specific relationship to each other with extreme accuracy and in sequence according to work instructions.
Works at different work stations as required.
Perform assembly and test functions utilizing mechanical skills, hand and power tools, mechanical/electronic tools, test equipment, assembly fixtures and inspection measurement equipment in a hazardous production environment.
Regularly handles hazardous and non-hazardous materials as part of the manufacturing process. (i.e. - Solvents, explosives, etc.)
Work requires the ability to read and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Process Specifications (PS) to operate and setup machinery and related systems.
This position is responsible for ensuring the safe processing of products that meet customer and Firehawk quality requirements in accordance with time standards for his/her assigned area of production.
Performs general daily housekeeping and cleaning of equipment and area to ensure a safe working condition for all employees.
Performs general maintenance of equipment as required.
Able to recognize and report all operational variances as trained.
Must display competent dexterity to insure safe handling of explosive devices.
Performs minor set-up for specific equipment when required.
Must be able to wear and maintain Personal Protective Equipment (safety eyewear, FR coat and pants, conductive shoes and full-face air purifying respirator as required)

Basic Qualifications
5 years experience in Manufacturing Assembly
High School diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required.
Ability to walk / stand 80% of the time.
Able to lift 15 lbs. constantly, 25 lbs. occasionally, and 50 lbs. infrequently. Above 50 lbs. with a team lift.
Must have the ability to understand and speak English, as well as read and write in English.
Ability to accurately read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and build procedures.
Ability to obtain and maintain an BATF Possessor license.
Ability to pass a background and drug test
Proficiency with Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) preferred.

Preferred Qualifications
5 years experience Energetic Manufacturing Assembly
Experience with Deltek Cost Point MES
Experience with soldering electronic assemblies and terminals to J-STD-1001
ITAR Requirements:
To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds; may require minimal walking, standing for extended amounts of time, climbing, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat.

Security Clearance:
May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level. Requires U.S. Citizenship. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
