Server Assistant (Runner/Busser)

Position Summary

The Server Assistant (Runner/Busser) supports the Service team by helping maintain an organized, welcoming dining room and smooth service throughout each shift. This role assists with beverage service, food delivery, table clearing, and end-of-day cleaning while working closely with servers and kitchen team members to ensure guests are well cared for.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and contribute to a positive dining room atmosphere.
Deliver food and beverages to tables accurately and efficiently.
Clear, reset, and maintain tables to support steady dining room flow.
Assist with beverage service, including refilling water and other non-alcoholic beverages as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room, wait stations, and service areas.
Stock and maintain server stations with glassware, utensils, linens, and other necessary supplies.
Communicate clearly with servers and kitchen team members to support coordinated service.
Remain attentive to guest needs and communicate questions or concerns to leadership when appropriate.
Assist with opening and closing duties, including end-of-day cleaning and resetting of dining areas.
Follow food safety, sanitation, and service standards at all times.
Support overall Food & Beverage operations by assisting with additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications

Must be at least 16 years old by the first day of employment.
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred, but not required.
Clear and respectful communication skills.
Dependable, team-oriented, and willing to take direction.
Ability to stay organized and responsive during busy service periods.
Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needs require.
Positive attitude with a professional demeanor.
