About This Position
American Implement is seeking a
Facilities Maintenance & Delivery Technician
for our dealership in Colby, Kansas.
This position is responsible for maintaining the image of store facilities, lot and grounds through routine maintenance, and for supporting the dealership through timely, professional transport and delivery of equipment between locations and customer sites. Candidate must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and have a clean motor vehicle record. EOE.
COMPENSATION:
- This is a full-time position with 45+ hours/week.
- $18-23/hour depending on experience.
- Eligible for overtime and quarterly incentive as well as an annual discretionary bonus.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Safely transports and delivers parts as well as equipment such as skid steers, mowers, headers and other machinery between company locations and customer sites.
- Loads, secures, and unloads equipment onto trailers in accordance with DOT regulations and company safety procedures.
- Cleans and maintains buildings and facilities including minor maintenance and repairs.
- Maintains grounds including lawn, equipment displays, and parking lot.
- Removes snow and debris from sidewalks and in front of buildings.
- Notifies management of the need for repairs that cannot be completed in house.
- UPS Freight, Mail, Supplies and other errands.
- Helps set up for meetings, lunches, or special events.
- Ensures timely and professional delivery and pickup of equipment, ensuring a constant commitment to customer service.
- Follows all safety rules and regulations of the company including pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, trailers, and equipment; reports maintenance or safety issues promptly.
- Maintains accurate delivery, transport, and inspection documentation as required.
- Adheres to all federal, state, and local transportation laws and safety regulations while operating company vehicles.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
- Valid Class A CDL with valid, current medical card, or willing to obtain.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and transportation laws.
- Basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills.
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision, self-motivated.
- Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail.
- Experience working cooperatively in a team environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with written and verbal communication.
- Ability to interact with staff and customers while remaining professional, polite, and courteous.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Extended periods of standing, walking, bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching overhead, must be able to regularly lift 50 lbs. without assistance, grasping with both hands, pushing and pulling, working around moving machinery, driving a vehicle, extensive hours on a computer, hearing normal tones, and seeing. May be exposed to extreme weather conditions from extreme heat to winter blizzard conditions.
