This role provides an exciting opportunity to drive new business in the renewable energy sector, focusing on developers and independent power producers. You will own the full sales cycle—from prospecting and qualifying to closing—while educating clients on innovative solutions to reduce costs and accelerate project development. The position requires building strong, trusted relationships with technical buyers and influencing decision-making in a complex, fast-moving industry. You will partner closely with internal teams including product, engineering, and customer success to ensure client needs are met and feedback informs product evolution. This role is ideal for someone passionate about the clean energy transition, skilled in strategic sales, and motivated by hitting ambitious revenue targets. The position offers autonomy, high visibility, and the chance to make a meaningful impact on the future of the U.S. power grid.
Drive new business with renewable energy developers and IPPs to meet or exceed a $2M annual sales quota.
Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, qualification, presentations, negotiations, and closing deals.
Research and identify high-potential prospects, leveraging data and market insights to prioritize outreach.
Educate prospects on how solutions can mitigate project risks and accelerate interconnection timelines.
Build and maintain strong relationships with technical and executive stakeholders across Transmission, Interconnection, and Development teams.
Collaborate with internal teams to relay customer insights, refine product messaging, and support smooth onboarding and adoption.
Track sales pipeline, maintain accurate CRM records, and provide forecasts to leadership.
Participate in industry events, conferences, and outbound campaigns to expand brand presence and generate leads.
Requirements:
2–7 years of experience in SaaS, technical, or energy sales, preferably with startup experience.
Background in renewable energy development, interconnection, or proven ability to sell into complex technical markets.
Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales quotas ($500k–$2M+ ARR annually).
Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of navigating technical conversations with confidence.
Self-motivated, organized, and able to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
Strategic thinker with persistence, creativity, and the ability to create opportunities from outbound prospecting.
Passion for the energy transition and making a tangible impact on clean energy adoption.
Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Customer Success).
