The work directly supports the Development Acquisitions team and broader development pipeline by ensuring disciplined market analysis, strong underwriting, and organized deal execution.

Core Responsibilities

The following represent the essential functions of the role and must be able to be performed with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Conduct early-stage market and site evaluations including demographic trends, competitive supply, rent comparables, absorption, and demand drivers.
  • Assist in sourcing land and redevelopment opportunities through broker relationships, data platforms, and market outreach.
  • Support preliminary underwriting for development opportunities including cost assumptions, rent projections, yield analysis, and sensitivity scenarios.
  • Compile due diligence materials and prepare investment memoranda, presentations, and exhibits for Investment Committee review.
  • Track acquisition pipeline activity and maintain organized deal documentation within internal systems.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and third-party consultants to validate underwriting assumptions and development considerations.
  • Travel periodically to target markets to support site visits, broker meetings, and market evaluations.
  • Support preparation of internal communications and Teams updates regarding active pursuit projects.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

After 6–12 months in this role:

  • You are consistently contributing meaningful analysis that helps the team evaluate and prioritize development opportunities.
  • You are trusted to prepare accurate underwriting inputs, market research, and internal investment materials.
  • Acquisition pipeline data, documentation, and deal files are well organized and reliably maintained.
  • You are recognized as a dependable contributor who supports deal execution and strengthens the development acquisition process.

What Will Help You Thrive

Successful candidates typically bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in real estate development, brokerage, land acquisition, investment sales, or related real estate roles.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with platforms such as CoStar, LightBox Vision, Atlas X, CRM systems, and Microsoft Teams preferred.
  • Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.

  • Perform well in fast-moving environments with multiple active priorities.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This position is performed primarily in an office environment. The role may require extended periods of sitting, routine use of standard office equipment and technology, and the ability to view a computer screen for extended periods. The role may also require periodic travel to development markets for site visits and meetings.
