About This Position
Resident Housing Housekeeper @ Bandon Dunes Golf Resort
As a Resident Housing Housekeeper at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, you’ll be the reason our team members come home to a clean, comfortable, and well-kept place to live. You’ll handle daily cleaning, linen turnover, deep cleans between tenants, and light maintenance tasks — the kind of hands-on work that keeps our employee housing running smoothly. It’s not glamorous, but it matters. The people who work here to deliver world-class guest experiences deserve a great place to rest at the end of the day, and you’ll be the one making that possible.
About Bandon Dunes Golf Resort:
Bandon Dunes is a world-class golf resort located on the Oregon Coast near the charming community of Bandon. Guests come to experience golf as it was meant to be at Bandon Dunes' six distinct golf courses. That includes five 18-hole courses, which all rank among the top 16 public courses in the United States, according to Golf Digest. The resort also has an award-winning par-3 course, Bandon Preserve, and the new Shorty's opened in 2024. The two short courses are 'Courses with a Mission,' with all net proceeds funding the Bandon Dunes Charitable Foundation. The Foundation supports communities along the South Coast of Oregon.
Beyond premier golf, guests delight in a variety of dining options at Bandon Dunes’ collection of restaurants. Whether you're looking to enjoy locally sourced, Pacific-Northwest cuisine accompanied by an award-winning wine list or prefer kicking back in a Scottish-style setting with traditional pub fare and local microbrews, there is something for everyone.
Working at Bandon Dunes is a dream for golf fans, outdoor enthusiasts, and hospitality professionals alike. The Bandon Dunes team works together to create trips of a lifetime for our guests. We are passionate stewards of our resort, community, and environment. As an endlessly curious group, we ask questions, share ideas, and always look for a better way. With a hard-working attitude, we help guide our guests through their pure golf experience, immersed in Oregon’s natural beauty and away from the demands of daily life.
What Youll Do:- Keep housing units clean and ready. You’ll turn over rooms between tenants — fresh linens, scrubbed bathrooms, vacuumed floors, and everything in between. When someone moves out, you’ll do a full deep clean from top to bottom, including carpets. New tenants should walk into a space that feels genuinely cared for.
- Maintain shared spaces so they’re livable. Common kitchens, hallways, stairways, laundry facilities, and outdoor areas all fall under your care on a regular rotating schedule. You’ll also keep washers, dryers, and laundry areas deep cleaned weekly — the small things that make a big difference to people living there.
- Handle light maintenance and stay ahead of problems. This role includes more than cleaning. You’ll do minor repairs, touch-up painting, and routine upkeep across all housing properties. You’ll also keep a sharp eye out for issues — a dripping faucet, a burnt-out bulb, a running toilet — and report them to the Resident Housing Manager before they become bigger problems.
- Manage supplies and stay organized. You’ll keep housing areas stocked with clean linens, towels, and cleaning supplies, and make sure everything is where it should be. Running out of essentials isn’t an option when people are counting on a functional home.
- Collaborate with the broader team. You’ll stay in regular communication with maintenance and grounds staff to coordinate repairs and property care. A lot of people live and work here, and keeping housing in good shape is a team effort.
- You’ve done this kind of work before. A background in housekeeping, janitorial services, or residential cleaning is preferred. You know how to clean thoroughly — not just make things look clean — and you take pride in the difference.
- You’re comfortable with basic maintenance. About two years of general building maintenance or household equipment repair experience will serve you well here. You don’t need to be a licensed contractor, but you should be handy and able to handle routine upkeep tasks without needing hand-holding.
- You’re reliable and can work independently. This role involves a lot of solo work across multiple properties. You’ll need to manage your time, prioritize tasks, and stay on top of a rotating schedule without someone directing your every move.
- You take safety seriously. You understand how to handle cleaning chemicals properly, follow OSHA requirements, and use protective equipment. You’ll work with ladders, industrial equipment, and occasionally uneven outdoor surfaces — careful attention to safety protocols is non-negotiable.
- You communicate clearly and professionally. You’ll interact with housing tenants (your coworkers), maintenance staff, and management. A respectful, professional demeanor matters — and being able to write and speak clearly in English helps you flag issues and coordinate repairs effectively.
- Comprehensive Benefits Package: Enjoy a well-rounded benefits package that covers your health, wellness, and financial future.
- Paid Time Off: Take the time you need to relax and recharge with our PTO plan.
- Free Golf Privileges: Tee off at some of the most iconic courses in the world with complimentary golf access.
- Quarterly Incentives: When our team meets resort-wide performance goals, we get rewarded.
- Complimentary Lunch: Stay energized with a complimentary lunch in our Staff Cafe during your shift.
- Resort Discounts: Save on dining and merchandise throughout the resort.
- Supportive Work Environment: Be part of a team that supports your growth and success, with opportunities to thrive in a collaborative atmosphere.
- Career Growth: Take advantage of continuous training and development opportunities to advance your career.
If you find real satisfaction in doing physical work well, keeping spaces in great shape, and being a dependable part of a team, we’d like to hear from you. This role reports to our Resident Housing Manager and offers the chance to make a direct, tangible impact on the daily lives of the people who make Bandon Dunes what it is.
At Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, we are proud to be an equal-opportunity employer. We value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
