About This Position
Chevo is currently hiring a CPIC Analyst to support an awarded and funded project. This position will provide the opportunity for significant client interaction by learning the client’s business and becoming a trusted advisor. The ideal candidate will demonstrate versatility in understanding and performing work related to budget, capital planning, program governance, and system development life cycle management activities. This position is a hybrid work environment, with onsite location in Washington, DC.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform routine updates (i.e., monthly, quarterly and annually, as applicable) and maintenance to documentation, artifacts, and AgMax system updates for assigned major IT investments (current workload is two).
- Will plan the timing of updates to achieve timely submissions for the scheduled investment scoring against USDA’s Investment Scoring Criteria.
- Will act as the organization’s designated representative to the USDA Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC) Community of Practice. Develops, creates and drafts executive artifacts (i.e., slide decks, standard templates, charters, etc.) for internal and external Investment Boards and USDA CIO oversight.
- Leveraging general subject-matter awareness of the Federal Information Technology Acquisition Reform Act (FITARA), passed by Congress in December 2014 and operationalized through USDA CPIC regulations, policy, and briefings, the incumbent may advise OCIO executives on updates to administrative workflows, signature authorities, and the enhancement of controls and reporting for assigned major investments.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience*
- Three (3+) years' Budget and/or management consulting experience with a knowledge of CPIC and IT Governance
- Project Management Professional (PMP) tools
- Advanced Microsoft Office Excel skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office 365 Word skills
- Microsoft Office 365 PowerPoint skills
- Microsoft Teams and collaboration tools Microsoft SharePoint
- Prior experience with USDA’s AgMax System is a plus.
- Ability to pass client security clearance requirements
- Must have general subject matter awareness of the Federal Information Technology Acquisition Reform Act (FITARA), passed by Congress in December 2014.

SALARY RANGE: $94,500 - $111,500 (subject to change)
