Pile Driving Superintendent- HIRING NOW – GREEN COVE SPRINGS, FL

Southland Holdings is currently accepting resumes for highly motivated Pile Driving Superintendent to join our team in MELBOURNE to PALM BEACH, FLORIDA locations. We seek solid driving sheet pile, Pipe Pile, H-Piles, and Concrete Pile experience to help with our upcoming project.

Responsibilities of this Pile Superintendent role include, but are not limited to:
• Miscellaneous fabrication, erection & installation of the two-stage pile driving templates
• Knowledge of rigging for hammer & individual sheets for safe installation around template. Then temporarily fasten sheets to circular cell template with clips, come-alongs, etc.
• Work closely with the project surveyor and quality control representatives to keep sheet installation on location with every sheet. The purpose is to have the ability to install and close the circular loop with the last sheet, ensuring all sheets fit the circle per the plans.
• Pile Superintendent must ensure materials are being installed plumb, in location and installed to proper elevation.
• Removing template in a safe, efficient manner after cell has been driven to grade and installation complete.
• Ability to weld or cut with a torch for miscellaneous details shown in the project plans.
• Ability to lead a group of pile drivers or laborers to safely and efficiently install circular sheet pile cells.

Requirements:
• Sheet pile, Pipe Pile, H-Piles, and Concrete Pile experience.
• Experience working with a Railroad project (HIGHLY PREFERRED.)
• 5 years’ Supervisor experience – 10 years’ experience in the industry.
• Demonstrates safe work practices when executing challenging work.
• Vast knowledge of sheet pile installation, particularly working with flat metal sheets such as PS27.5 or PS31.
• Knowledge of installing circular sheet pile cells or cofferdams.
• Attention to detail when installing each sheet (location, grade, piece mark, etc).
• Must be physically capable of navigating rugged terrain, climbing ladders/stair towers, working from heights and/or barges as needed for the purpose of performing the duties outlined above.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
• OSHA certification, Fall Protection, Rigging, Trench safety, Confined space, First aid / CPR Certification.
