About This Position

Cloud Network Architect

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Cloud Network Architect in United States.

This senior technical role focuses on designing and evolving secure, scalable, and highly resilient network architectures across cloud, hybrid, and on-premise environments. The position blends deep architectural ownership with hands-on technical contribution, requiring the ability to translate complex and often ambiguous business and security requirements into robust engineering solutions. You will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of mission-critical systems while shaping modern networking standards across the organization. Working closely with engineering, product, and operations teams, you will influence strategic technical decisions and drive alignment on infrastructure direction. The environment is highly collaborative and security-focused, with strong emphasis on innovation, scalability, and operational excellence. This role is best suited for a seasoned architect who thrives in complex distributed systems and enjoys both designing and implementing solutions.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead the design and evolution of secure, scalable, and high-availability network architectures across cloud, hybrid, and on-premise environments.
  • Translate complex and evolving business, product, and security requirements into clear, actionable technical network designs and architecture standards.
  • Design and implement resilient networking solutions, including disaster recovery, fault tolerance, segmentation, and secure connectivity patterns.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership in prototyping, implementation, and validation of network architectures and lab environments.
  • Architect and maintain secure networking frameworks including VPNs, zero trust models, SD-WAN, routing, and distributed system connectivity.
  • Ensure network systems meet performance, scalability, compliance, and security requirements across all environments.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure strategy with business objectives and operational needs.
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to elevating overall network engineering practices and standards.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in network engineering, cloud networking, or infrastructure architecture roles.
  • Strong expertise in designing secure and scalable network systems across cloud, hybrid, and distributed environments.
  • Deep knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF, along with Linux networking and segmentation strategies.
  • Hands-on experience with VPN technologies (IPSec, WireGuard, OpenVPN), firewalls, IDS/IPS, and zero trust architectures.
  • Proven experience designing high-availability systems and disaster recovery network strategies.
  • Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts, tradeoffs, and architecture decisions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Bicep is a plus.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, FedRAMP) and regulated environments is highly desirable.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP or equivalent) are a plus.
  • Strong collaboration mindset with experience working across engineering, product, and operations teams.

Benefits:

  • Salary range: $155,000 – $169,000.
  • Performance-based bonus and equity eligibility.
  • Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions.
  • Unlimited paid time off and parental leave.
  • Life insurance, disability insurance, and health savings account options.
  • Fully remote work flexibility.
  • Opportunity to work on mission-critical, large-scale, and highly secure infrastructure systems.
  • Collaborative, innovation-driven environment focused on reliability and continuous improvement.
