Utility / Runner Team Member – Plum Market Foodservice (Columbus Airport)

Description:

The Utility / Runner Team Member is a behind-the-scenes, fast-moving role that keeps our Columbus Airport operation running smoothly. You’ll support kitchen and service teams by maintaining high sanitation standards (dishwashing, cleaning, waste removal) while also ensuring efficient product flow between storage, prep areas, and service locations throughout the airport.

Able to stay calm, focused, and productive when priorities shift

Friendly and professional in a secure airport setting, following procedures and expectations

Reliable with attendance and flexible availability.

What you will bring:

Experience in dish/utility, food service, stocking, or back-of-house support is preferred (but not required for the right candidate)

Strong time management and communication skills

Ability to stand for long periods, bend/stoop, lift up to 50 lbs., and push carts up to 100 lbs.

Ability to pass an airport background check and qualify for badging

What you will do:

Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, pots, and pans in accordance with food safety standards

Keep the dish area and back-of-house spaces clean (floors, walls, work surfaces, equipment)

Remove trash and recyclables regularly, following airport/company disposal guidelines

Monitor and restock cleaning supplies to keep the area ready and compliant

Transport food, beverages, supplies, and equipment between airport locations using carts safely and efficiently

Monitor product levels and restock service points as directed

Assist with basic setup and breakdown of service stations as needed

Keep carts and storage areas clean, organized, and safely staged

Communicate inventory, delivery, equipment, or safety concerns promptly to leadership

Follow all airport security, safety, and sanitation procedures while working across the terminal
