Unarmed Security Guard (part-time/on-call) at CITADEL FEDERAL SOLUTIONS LLC – Colorado Springs, Colorado

We are seeking a vigilant and professional Unarmed Security Guard to maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients and employees. In this role, you will be responsible for patrolling assigned premises, monitoring surveillance systems, and providing a visible deterrent to illegal or inappropriate activities. You will act as the first point of contact for visitors and must exhibit excellent customer service and communication skills.

Pay Rate: $19.44 per hour + $5.09 per hour to utilize for Health Insurance.

Location: 3141 Centennial Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80907

Key Responsibilities

• Patrol and Surveillance: Conduct regular foot or vehicle patrols of the interior and exterior of the facility to ensure all areas are secure.
• Access Control: Monitor building entrances and exits; verify credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors.
• Incident Response: Respond quickly to alarms, medical emergencies, or suspicious activities, following established protocols to de-escalate situations.
• Reporting: Maintain accurate daily activity logs and write detailed reports of any incidents, property damage, or security breaches.
• Equipment Monitoring: Monitor CCTV cameras and alarm systems to detect and prevent unauthorized access or theft.
• Customer Service: Assist visitors with directions and information while maintaining a professional and helpful demeanor.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: Must possess a valid state-mandated Security Guard License (often referred to as a "Guard Card").
• Experience: Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred but not always required.
• Physical Ability: Must be able to stand or walk for long periods and work in various weather conditions.
• Skills: Strong observational skills, integrity, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Background Check: Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
