QueensCare is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization originally founded by the Franciscan Sisters of Sacred Heart, whose mission of compassion and accessible healthcare continues today. QueensCare provides screening, treatment, education, and preventive and direct care to Los Angeles area residents in need. Beyond that, we also give charitable grants to other non-profits making a difference in the City of Angels and fund scholarships for those entering medical fields with an interest in working in underserved communities.
About the role
QueensCare Health Alliance’s Mental Health Program provides trauma-informed, culturally competent counseling services to the underserved and marginalized communities of Los Angeles County. Mental Health Clinician II will provide mental health services to the Department of Mental Health (DMH) and non-DMH clients using long-term therapy with children, adolescents, Transitional Age Youth (TAY), groups and families. Mental Health Clinician II will demonstrate competency in assessment, diagnostic evaluations and treatment of clients presenting for Mental Health Services. Knowledge of the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health paperwork preferred but not required. What you'll do
Mental Health and Clinical Support
- Maintains a caseload of 20-22 community clients and coordinates care as needed.
- Provides comprehensive services including individual/family therapy, collaterals, rehab sessions, groups and case management services as needed in the home, school, office setting, and/or community.
- Conducts bio-psycho-social assessments, treatment plans and individual therapy for vulnerable population, specifically children and adolescents.
- Supervises unlicensed staff and mental health interns if licensed for over 2 years, ensuring proper guidance and support.
- Completes client documentation in Electronic Health Record (EHR) within required timeframes.
- Maintains weekly/monthly productivity standards as set forth by Mental Health Manager (MHM).
- Documents all therapy sessions, treatment team meetings, collateral and family contacts in a complete, legible and clinically informative manner.
- Maintains accurate information and necessary documents in client’s charts via assessments, reviews and updates.
- Coordinates service delivery with families, primary caregivers, county agencies, significant others, and local schools, and serves as Intensive Care Coordinator (ICC).
- Participates in monthly clinical supervision and further enhances professional development through training and consolation with other paraprofessionals.
- Develops pruriency in billing procedures and utilizing case notes on ATS (EXYM).
- Follows up with supervisors in a timely manner regarding significant issues.
- Always maintain professional boundaries with clients.
- Follows state laws and agency mandates regarding child abuse reporting.
- Participates in the Continuous and Quality Improvement (CQI) of the agency.
- Collaborates with other programs and community organizations to provide links to services and enhance service delivery.
- Travels daily or frequently to various partner sites within Los Angeles County to support program needs and coordination.
- Performs other duties as assigned to contribute to overall team functionality and organizational success.

Qualifications
EXPERIENCE
- Master’s degree in, Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited college or university.
- In good standing with California Board of Behavioral Sciences with an active LCSW or LMFT number.
KNOWLEDGE
- Knowledgeable of CalAIM, preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of EXYM EHR, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office, and Outlook.
- Promotion of process improvement.

However, there are many times when there is a high ambient background noise of phones and multiple conversations. Must be able to screen out the background noise to concentrate on the work at hand.
The pay range for this role is:
90,492 - 113,185 USD per year(Hollywood )
