Senior QA Engineer in India at Jobgether

This role plays a critical part in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of complex SaaS applications across web, API, and mobile platforms. You will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive test strategies that combine manual and automated approaches to detect issues early and prevent regressions in production. Working within a SAFe Agile environment, you will collaborate closely with developers, product teams, and fellow QA engineers to validate new features, infrastructure changes, and ongoing platform enhancements. The position requires strong analytical thinking to assess risks, define test coverage, and ensure robust functional validation. You will also contribute to building and maintaining automation frameworks, particularly using Selenium, while continuously improving test efficiency and coverage. This is a highly collaborative, detail-oriented role where your work directly impacts product stability and user experience at scale.

• Design, document, and execute comprehensive test plans and strategies based on risk analysis to minimize functional and regression issues.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance clear and reusable test cases covering both manual and automated scenarios.
• Perform end-to-end testing of new features, regression cycles, and platform updates across multiple environments.
• Execute and maintain automated UI test suites using Selenium, including troubleshooting and resolving test failures.
• Identify and implement appropriate automation strategies based on the test automation pyramid.
• Analyze test results, debug failures, and collaborate with engineers to resolve root causes effectively.
• Participate in SAFe Agile ceremonies and collaborate closely with product, development, and QA teams.
• Log, track, isolate, and document defects through to resolution while ensuring proper validation.
• Use debugging tools, browser dev tools, and application logs to investigate and understand system behavior.
• Validate UI and application functionality to ensure alignment with requirements and design expectations.

• 6+ years of experience in software testing or QA within software development teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong experience in designing test plans, test matrices, and QA strategies for complex SaaS platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver using Page Object Model framework.
• Solid understanding of functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing methodologies.
• Ability to read and interpret API requests and responses for testing purposes.
• Experience with SQL and JIRA in a QA or development context.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and version control systems like GitLab.
• Exposure to tools like Playwright, REST Assured, and accessibility testing is a plus.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills, including the ability to work with logs and browser developer tools.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across distributed, global teams.
• Comfortable working across time zones with occasional flexibility in working hours.
