Position Overview: We are seeking a Commercial Lines Producer to drive new business growth and expand client relationships within our commercial insurance portfolio. This role is responsible for identifying prospects, delivering tailored insurance solutions, and serving as a trusted advisor to businesses across multiple industries. The ideal candidate is sales-driven, relationship-focused, and knowledgeable in commercial lines coverages and market dynamics.
Work Arrangement: This is a full-time position intended for a candidate based in the Southeast Region. Work location (remote, hybrid, or in-office) will be determined based on business needs and the candidate’s location.
Professional Responsibilities:
- Prospect, identify, and develop new commercial lines business through networking, referrals, and targeted outreach.
- Conduct consultative risk assessments to understand client operations and recommend appropriate coverage solutions.
- Present and sell commercial insurance products while negotiating terms with carriers and underwriters.
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships to drive retention, cross-selling, and account expansion.
- Collaborate with internal teams and carrier partners to deliver competitive, compliant insurance solutions.
- Maintain accurate documentation, policy records, and client data in agency systems and CRM platforms.
- Monitor sales performance, production goals, and retention metrics to continuously improve results.
- Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and market conditions to provide informed guidance to clients.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Prior experience in insurance sales or working within an insurance agency environment.
- Active Property & Casualty insurance license, or ability to obtain and maintain licensure.
- Strong knowledge of commercial lines insurance products, underwriting principles, and risk analysis.
- Proven ability to develop sales strategies and manage a prospect pipeline from lead to close.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, agency management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree in business, finance, or a related field preferred.
- Commitment to ethical standards, confidentiality, and continuous professional development.
