WORK LIFE BALANCE: Only work half the year with our schedule!


D Shift 6:00pm-6:00am (TH, FRI, SAT and every other WED)

Summary:
The shift supervisor is responsible for leading a group of employees on a single shift to ensure that production goals are met in accordance with quality and customer specifications. This position's role is to effectively and efficiently communicate, supervise, and prioritize all activities and production on that shift.

Primary Functions:

• Monitor the safety and productivity of personnel in production, shipping, and QA on the shift

• Build and maintain good working relationships with employees, supervision, and management

• Monitor raw materials and ensure products are within customer specification

• Build and maintain good working relationships with employees, supervision, and management

• Identify personnel related issues, including conflicts, misconduct, and accidents/injuries. Communicate with management to address the matter

• Ensure personnel are following all GMP’s and company safety policies

• Provide backup support to all departments as needed

• Ability to communicate effectively with other personnel and shifts

• Ability to work as a member of a cross functional team

• Ability to develop associates by working closely in training company processes and procedures

Other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills Required:

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is required

High School Diploma required

College Degree Preferred

Must be willing to submit for pre-employment background and drug screening

3 Years Employee Management is required

Pet food industry experience is a plus, but not required

Demonstrate knowledge of efficient and safe manufacturing operations

Knowledge of product requirements and customer specifications

Understanding of plant policies and procedures

Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, in English

Possess in depth understanding of Productions, Shipping, and QA roles
