This senior leadership role sits at the intersection of healthcare transformation, workforce optimization, and large-scale consulting delivery. You will guide complex performance improvement engagements for hospitals and health systems, helping them address critical challenges in labor efficiency, productivity, and operational sustainability. The role combines strategic advisory with hands-on execution, requiring close collaboration with executive healthcare leaders to design and implement impactful workforce solutions. You will also play a key role in driving new business development, shaping client relationships, and expanding consulting impact across healthcare organizations. Operating in a fast-paced, client-facing environment, you will lead multidisciplinary teams while ensuring measurable financial and operational outcomes. This is a high-visibility role where leadership, analytical rigor, and healthcare expertise directly influence organizational performance and patient care delivery.
- Lead end-to-end healthcare workforce consulting engagements, ensuring delivery of measurable performance improvement and successful client outcomes across hospital systems and medical organizations
- Oversee engagement financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, margins, invoicing, and overall project economics
- Design and implement workforce optimization strategies focused on labor efficiency, productivity improvement, and process re-engineering
- Build and maintain executive-level client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to healthcare leadership teams
- Drive business development efforts by identifying opportunities, supporting proposals, participating in negotiations, and closing new engagements
- Analyze workforce data to quantify benefits, identify risks, and develop actionable recommendations for operational improvement
- Lead and mentor consulting teams, fostering high performance, accountability, and alignment with organizational values
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 10+ years of healthcare consulting and/or performance improvement experience focused on hospital workforce management and labor optimization
- Strong background in hospital operations or large-scale healthcare system environments with experience leading teams or major transformation initiatives
- Proven expertise in workforce productivity improvement, process redesign, and change management within healthcare settings
- Demonstrated success managing complex consulting engagements in a client-facing leadership role
- Strong executive communication skills, with the ability to present insights, influence stakeholders, and build trust at senior levels
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in fast-paced, matrixed environments
- Willingness to travel up to 80% and work extended hours when required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Competitive total compensation ranging from $281,250 to $371,250 including base salary and incentive pay
- Base salary range of $225,000 to $275,000 depending on experience and qualifications
