Linen and Biohazard Technician in Portland, Oregon at Akicita Federal, LLC

Perform custodial services to maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for Veterans, staff, and visitors. This role is not located in patient care areas.

Primary Location: 3710 SW US Veterans Hospital Road, Portland, OR.

Schedule: 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM (Monday-Thursday or Friday-Monday).

Responsibilities

Biohazard Response: Perform routine biohazard remediation within the custodial scope as authorized by the Government.

Waste Handling: Coordinate the removal of trash and recycling to designated outside collection containers.

Spill Cleanup: Promptly report and clean up spills in accordance with VAPORHCS environmental regulations.

Sanitary Support: Maintain cleanliness in non-direct patient care areas, ensuring all surfaces are free of pathogens and debris.

Requirements

Security: Must successfully pass a Tier 1 Background Investigation (NACI) and fingerprinting prior to starting work.

Uniforms: Must wear a standard, neat, and recognizable custodial uniform with appropriate closed-toe safety footwear.

Compliance: Complete annual VA Privacy, Information Security, and Bloodborne Pathogen training.
