Position Description:
Division 16, LLC is recruiting a Junior Electrical Estimator (Trainee) to support the estimating and preconstruction team through plan analysis, cost estimating, and organization of technical documentation. This role is essential in assisting with the preparation of competitive proposals. We offer training with direct mentorship from senior estimators and exposure to real industry tools and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with material quantity take-offs and basic electrical estimates.
- Review drawings and technical documentation to gather information and perform project quantity take-offs.
- Organize and maintain digital project files in a clear and accessible manner.
- Prepare material lists, data summaries, and internal reports.
- Coordinate and follow up on vendor and supplier quotations.
- Support the preparation of proposals and bid packages.
- Learn and use estimating software and internal processes.
- Work collaboratively with senior estimators, project managers, and suppliers while adhering to industry standards.
Requirements:
- Basic proficiency in Excel and the ability to organize and structure information clearly.
- Strong numerical and logical analysis skills for reviewing quantities, costs, and technical documentation.
- Effective communication skills in both English and Spanish, written and verbal.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and a methodical approach to work.
- Interest in long-term professional development and job stability.
- Interest in construction, electrical estimating, and related technical processes.
Preferred: Technical or college studies in construction, engineering, or related fields; basic experience reading plans or using CAD; interest in estimating software.
