Assistant Teacher at Lycée Français de Chicago – Chicago, Illinois

Responsibilities:

• Active participation in the students' progress.
• Assists and supports students in the learning process.
• Assists and supports students in strengthening their autonomy.
• Supervision during transitions and recess.
• Other school-related tasks, including team meetings.

Requirements:

• Organized and proactive
• Kindness and listening skills, patience and discretion
• Fluent in French, English language skills strongly preferred.
• Previous similar childcare experience preferred
• Able to lift 25-30 lbs.
• Able to walk, squat/kneel, sit on the floor, see, hear, and speak with children.

Additional Information:

• This is a full-time (approximately 30-32.5 hours per week), exempt position with benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 403b with 4% match after 2 years, 70% tuition remission for any children enrolled at the Lycée Français de Chicago*, 10% tuition remission for any children enrolled at LFC*daycare, and a generous paid time-off policy.
• All prospective employees must be able to clear background and medical checks, including a negative TB result.
• The annual full-time salary range for this role is 39,783-62,588 USD
• This position requires on-site presence at the LFC* campus during the school year
