This role sits within a high-performing Order to Cash accounting organization focused on ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant revenue recognition across a fast-evolving SaaS business. You will play a key role in supporting month-end and quarter-end close processes while ensuring strong financial controls and high-quality reporting. The position blends technical accounting expertise with cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, and Product teams. You will be responsible for accounting for complex revenue programs, including emerging go-to-market initiatives, sales compensation, and market development funds. This is a high-impact opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and improving scalable financial processes. - Support monthly and quarterly close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, flux analysis, and revenue reporting deliverables.
- Own accounting for outbound revenue programs, including sales compensation, market development funds, and emerging go-to-market initiatives.
- Apply and document technical accounting conclusions in accordance with ASC 606 and ASC 340 for new and evolving revenue arrangements.
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, and Channel teams to ensure proper accounting treatment and alignment.
- Maintain and enhance revenue accounting processes, policies, and internal controls in compliance with SOX requirements.
- Support forecasting, audit activities, and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.
- Identify and implement process improvements, including automation and AI-enabled enhancements to accounting workflows.
- Contribute to scalable financial reporting infrastructure and improve efficiency across revenue operations.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in revenue recognition across complex SaaS and subscription-based models.
- 4+ years of experience in revenue accounting, including public accounting (Big 4 preferred) or high-growth technology environments.
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition standards, including ASC 606 and ASC 340.
- Experience working with SaaS or subscription-based revenue models and complex billing arrangements.
- Ability to evaluate, document, and communicate technical accounting conclusions and policies clearly.
- Advanced Excel skills, including working with large datasets and preparing journal entries and analyses.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain accounting concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
- Experience driving process improvements, automation, or scalable accounting solutions.
- Preferred: CPA certification, Oracle ERP experience, Salesforce exposure, or experience with sales compensation and MDF accounting.
- Competitive annual salary ranging from 96,200 USD to 146,500 USD depending on location and experience.
