Who We Are Looking For

Phoenix Tailings is looking for a Director of FP&A to own the company’s accounting and financial operations as we scale production of critical metals. This role will be responsible for building accurate, auditable financials from the ground up while driving financial planning and supporting key business decisions. You will directly shape the financial infrastructure required to support capital-intensive growth and ensure the company operates with financial discipline at every stage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own and execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparation of financial statements
  • Manage the general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations
  • Establish and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Build and maintain systems for tracking revenue, expenses, and capital expenditures
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
  • Prepare audit-ready financials and support external audits and tax filings
  • Track and manage project-based accounting tied to plant buildout and production operations
  • Support fundraising efforts through financial reporting, model development, and diligence materials
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in accounting and finance roles with direct ownership of financial reporting
  • Strong experience managing general ledger, journal entries, and full close processes
  • Experience preparing financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Experience implementing accounting policies, controls, and audit processes
  • Experience supporting audits and working with external auditors
  • Experience building and maintaining financial models for budgeting and forecasting
  • CPA or equivalent certification
We offer a competitive compensation package that is based on expertise. We also offer the following benefits:
This pay range reflects best estimate for the total cash compensation which includes salary + discretionary bonus for this role. Total package may vary based on experience and qualifications.
Pay Range: $180,000- $250,000 total cash compensation plus equity
