Job-Specific Duties:
- Help in the preparation and design of all food and drink menusProduce high-quality plates in both presentation and tasteEnsure that the kitchen operates in a timely manner that meets our quality standardsFill in for the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessaryResourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situationManage and train kitchen staff, establish a working schedule, and assess staff’s performanceOrder supplies to stock inventory appropriatelyComply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards, including Health inspectionsMaintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers!
What We Are Looking For:
- Candidates who possess at least two years of back-of-house restaurant management experiencePrior experience at an airport is preferredDelivers superior food and beverage service and maximizes customer satisfactionUpholds ideals, values, and practices that are the foundation of Mission Yogurt: Loyalty, Innovation, Service, Communication, and FlexibilityAdheres to Mission Yogurt's safety, sanitation, and cleanliness policies and practicesCandidates who have been a Sous Chef at a fast-paced, full-service restaurantEnsures all operating and quality standards are metUpholds a professional and ethical management style and presentationAssesses work-related issues in a professional manner and exercises honest, non-biased judgmentEnsures safety and security of both guests and team membersMust be able to pass a 10-year background check per TSA guidelines
Physical Demands:
Must be able to work on your feet for up to 12 hours. Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching overhead, and lifting products and supplies weighing 20 pounds, and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds, as well as repetitive hand and wrist motion.
