About This Position

Parraid, a products company, is wholly devoted to design, engineering, sales, and support of telemetry data systems and tactically oriented mission-critical communications solutions. We are headquartered in Hollywood, MD, with a great team, well-established product lines, and a growing client base.

We are seeking a Senior IT Systems Administrator to join the Product Engineering Team and provide user support while maintaining and improving Parraid’s corporate IT systems and infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in network design and implementation.
  • Create and deploy secure network technologies (LAN, WAN, VPN) and install hardware (routers, switches, firewalls).
  • Provide network support with a variety of operating systems, monitoring both the LAN/WAN networks for threats or errors.
  • Experience with cloud networking (AWS/Azure)
  • Maintain network connectivity of all computer workstations.
  • Provide network support to local and remote users.
  • Maintain IT documentation, SOPs, and ticket workflows to ensure consistent support for local and remote users.
  • Manage M365/Entra ID and Intune administration for identity, access, device compliance, and application deployment.
  • Maintain and manage servers, associated hardware, applications, services, and settings.
  • Develop and monitor policies for the use of network resources, employing the latest technologies.
  • Implement and manage disaster response, recovery, and back-ups.
  • Evaluate and recommend security improvements and system upgrades in alignment with CMMC requirements.
  • Monitor network to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provision and manage user accounts, access permissions, and group memberships, ensuring appropriate access to the intranet and required corporate IT systems.
  • Create technical support documentation for systems and applications.
  • Update virus protection software to keep data and communications protected.
  • Provide level 3 support to resolve software and hardware configuration issues for users on-demand or from inspection of the systems.

Skills:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 product management
  • Deep knowledge of networking protocols, routing, switching, and VPNs.
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune endpoint management: device compliance, configuration profiles, BitLocker/key escrow, application deployment, remote wipe actions
  • Familiarity with CUI support operations: access provisioning, permission reviews, approved transfer paths, basic evidence collection for audits
  • Experience with vulnerability and patch management on workstations and key infrastructure assets
  • Fundamental knowledge of networking concepts, enterprise services, and common TCP/IP protocols
  • Proven network architecture, engineering, operations, and performance analysis skills
  • Knowledge of computing infrastructures, and understanding of various types of hardware
  • Proven understanding of client / server technology along with familiarity with server management
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability combined with hands-on technical troubleshooting capabilities
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
  • Solid attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage projects to completion
  • Adeptness to follow standard operating procedures with multiple tasks

Desired Experience:

  • At least 10 years’ experience in a systems or network administration role
  • CompTIA Network+ / Security+ certifications
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2019/2022 preferred
  • Previous experience with Cisco switches and routers preferred
  • Previous experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Amazon WorkSpaces (AWS) preferred
  • MCSE or related certification a plus
  • CISSP, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or related certification a plus

Minimum Level of Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent information technology training in a military or civilian technical school.

Minimal Travel Required

US Citizenship Required in order to obtain Security Clearance
Clearance level not required immediately but must be able to qualify.

Salary Range
$115,000 - $125,000
