Description:

The essential functions of the Maintenance Ambassador Supervisor is to foster a sense of community by offering an unparalleled living experience for resident and providing excellence in customer service through; maintaining the physical appearance and upkeep of the community; service resident's day-to-day maintenance needs with respect to their apartment homes; provide corrective, preventative and emergency maintenance throughout the community; ensure safe and satisfactory operation of apartment appliances; perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and floor repairs; assist with apartment turnover preparation; service community equipment, and HVAC systems; and any other duties assigned.

The Maintenance Ambassador Supervisor is responsible for the management of the maintenance team to insure the acceptable physical appearance of the community; service residents' needs with respect to their apartment homes; provide corrective, preventative and emergency maintenance; insure safe and satisfactory operation of apartment appliances, minor plumbing/electrical carpentry, and floor repairs, apartment turnover preparation, and any other duties assigned. In addition, it is the responsibility of the Maintenance Ambassador Supervisor to access the strengths and weaknesses of the maintenance team and manage employees’ incentives accordingly, while also creating and nurturing a sense of community and focus on customer service standards.

Requirements:

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years maintenance experience with individual HVAC repair and preventative maintenance of individual or central plant equipment, appliance, plumbing, and electrical systems and repairs , fire safety equipment and repairs, supervision and preparation of apartment turnovers and flooring installations.
  • Ability to oversee and perform all maintenance repairs and duties independently, professionally and in a timely manner.
  • Previous supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to supervise maintenance personnel.
  • Initiative and motivation to continue training to develop skills, preferred, (i.e. license and certifications).
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, scheduling, and delegation skills; Exceptional leadership/supervisory and personnel development skills. CFC - Type 2 may be required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, transportation to respond to emergency calls, and proof of motor vehicle insurance.
