Accountabilities:

Edit and assemble video story elements into clear, engaging visual narratives tailored for digital and broadcast audiences.
Apply strong editorial judgment to select and prioritize content under tight deadlines, especially during breaking news coverage.
Write accurate and concise storylines, captions, and shot lists aligned with visual content.
Monitor live feeds and rapidly edit breaking news footage for immediate publication.
Use social media and digital sources as tools for newsgathering and story development.
Support verification efforts by applying visual verification techniques and ensuring content accuracy and integrity.
Collaborate closely with global journalists and production teams across text, photo, video, and digital formats.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in journalism, media, or related fields.
At least 3 years of experience in a newsroom, digital media outlet, broadcast station, or similar environment.
Advanced proficiency in non-linear video editing tools such as DaVinci Resolve or similar software.
Strong written and spoken English with the ability to write clearly for visual storytelling.
