Our proprietary platforms, bfPREP™, bfLEAP™, and other AI solutions, enable pharmaceutical, biotech, and research partners to derive deeper biological insights, identify novel patient subgroups, and accelerate therapeutic target discovery.
With emerging commercial traction and a growing product portfolio, we are seeking a strategic commercial leader to help scale product revenue and build a repeatable sales engine.
Position Overview
The Vice President, Commercial Sales, will build and lead the commercial sales engine and strategy, opportunity development, negotiation, and deal closure for BullFrog’s product suite, with primary focus on bfPREP™ and other AI solutions.
This role is designed for a proven commercial closer who has successfully scaled revenue from $0 to $20M+, ideally within biotech, life sciences, AI-enabled health technology, or pharmaceutical services.
While a Sales Executive may support lead generation and outbound pipeline development, this role owns the middle and bottom of funnel, including:
- solution development
- client discovery
- pricing strategy
- proposal and contract negotiation
- executive-level stakeholder management
- closing new commercial partnerships
This leader will play a critical role in translating BullFrog’s scientific and AI capabilities into revenue-generating commercial relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Growth & Commercial Sales
- Drive commercial sales of bfPREP™ and other AI solutions, with secondary support for bfLEAP™
- Convert qualified opportunities into closed commercial agreements
- Lead discovery, solutioning, and consultative sales conversations with biotech, pharma, and research partners
- Own deal progression from qualified lead through signed contract
- Build and maintain pipeline visibility, forecasting, and close probability discipline
- Achieve annual revenue target and support scale from $0 to $20M+
Negotiation & Closing
- Lead pricing discussions, commercial structuring, and contract negotiations
- Partner with CEO and legal counsel on enterprise and strategic partnership agreements
- Develop proposals, scopes of work, and commercial terms
- Navigate long enterprise and pharma sales cycles
- Close complex multi-stakeholder deals
Strategic Commercialization
- Translate product capabilities into clear commercial value propositions
- Work cross-functionally with science, product, data science, and leadership teams
- Identify target markets, customer segments, and high-value use cases
- Support product packaging, positioning, and market differentiation
Industry & Relationship Leadership
- Leverage industry relationships within biotech, pharma, and life sciences
- Represent BullFrog at conferences, partner meetings, and executive forums
- Build strategic partnerships that support long-term growth
- 10+ years in commercial sales, enterprise sales, or business development leadership
- Proven track record scaling revenue from $0 to $20M+
- Demonstrated success in complex B2B / enterprise sales cycles
- Strong experience in negotiation and closing
- Experience selling into:
- biotech
- pharmaceutical
- life sciences
- clinical / research organizations
- Experience partnering with scientific or technical teams
- Strong executive presence and C-suite selling capability
Highly Preferred Experience
- Direct experience in:
- drug discovery
- AI/machine learning applications in healthcare
- Existing network within pharma/biotech decision-makers
- Experience commercializing emerging technology products
- Background in translational science, neuroscience, or health tech is highly valued
- Proven track record building a successful commercial team in an adjacent industry will be considered
