Job Summary:
Voyager Technologies is looking for a Staff Development Engineer to develop and scale energetics and rocket motor manufacturing processes while building a strong safety-first culture. Lead process development, startup, and continuous improvement initiatives; mentor engineers and technicians in energetics manufacturing; troubleshoot complex development and production issues; and support rapid deployment of new products and technologies through close collaboration across engineering, operations, and safety teams.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, build, and start up new energetics and rocket motor manufacturing processes and systems.
- Mentor and train engineers, technicians, and other team members in energetics manufacturing processes. Build a culture of safety around energetics.
- Drive continuous improvement of processes.
- Support the rapid deployment of new projects, products, and processes
- Problem solving and troubleshooting of developmental and manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with teammates to ensure adherence to high standards for safety, quality, and performance.
Required Qualifications:
- 20+ years of experience with energetics development, processing, and testing.
- Ability to be a self-starter and solve complex problems from first principles with minimal supervision, both independently and as a member of a team.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain State and Federal explosives licenses, including:
- Be 21 years of age or older.
- Pass pre-employment drug test.
- Pass State and Federal background checks.
