Interim Patient Clinical Manager-Prentiss Home Care at Forrest General Hospital – Hattiesburg, Mississippi
About This Position
The Interim Patient Clinical Manager is a Registered Nurse who is a member of the patient care team within the Department of Home Health and is directly accountable to the Clinical Director. The position requires that the individual be clinically competent and demonstrate leadership abilities. Responsible for the coordination and supervision of services, making patient and personnel assignment, and coordinating patient care and referrals. Responsible for assuring patient needs are continually assessed and development, implementation, and updates of the individualized plan of care. Assures quality of services, appropriate staffing, and all services available. Reports and assists with timely follow up of patient or customer complaints. Responsible for managing employee time and productivity. Performs other job duties as assigned as competency is achieved. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served; also demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age specific needs, and to provide the care needed
Performance Expectations:
- Demonstrates ability to coordinate all patient care services.
- Ability to schedule patients using EMR.
- Demonstrates ability to manage staff productivity and ensuring staff scheduling of patients and proper documentation according to agency policy.
Qualifications:
Education/Skills
Graduate of a recognized non-online RN program. Bachelor of Science in nursing preferred, minimum of ADN required.
Work Experience:
Two years of experience in
home health nursing required.
Certification/Licensure-DUE UPON HIRE
- Licensed RN able to practice within the State of MS
- Valid Driver's License and proof of automobile insurance required.
Additional Certification/Licensure - Obtained based on required timeframe below
- Basic Life Support
