WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR


We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide evaluation, treatment, and consultation services to students in a school-based setting. The SLP will work with students with communication disorders affecting speech, language, voice, fluency, and social communication. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student success.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Assessment & Evaluation:
    • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to determine students' needs.
    • Interpret evaluation results and develop individualized treatment plans.
    • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to provide input on student goals.
  • Therapy & Intervention:
    • Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services based on IEP goals.
    • Implement evidence-based treatment strategies to improve communication skills.
    • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.
  • Collaboration & Consultation:
    • Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support student development.
    • Provide training and strategies for educators to facilitate classroom communication.
    • Communicate with caregivers about progress and recommendations for home support.
  • Compliance & Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including evaluation reports, therapy notes, and IEP updates.
    • Ensure compliance with IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) and state/federal regulations.
    • Complete Medicaid billing as required by the district.


WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current Missouri licensure as an SLP.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
  • Experience in school-based settings or pediatric populations preferred.
  • Knowledge of IEP processes and special education laws.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.

Work Environment & Requirements:

  • Ability to travel between school sites as needed.
  • Comfortable working with students in individual, small group, or classroom settings.
